An internationally renowned multilingual and multicultural centre, CAREL is a public institution set up in 1966 by the town of Royan and University of Poitiers which welcomes French and foreign students (youngsters and adults, individuals and professionals, teachers) all year round.

Located on the campus of University Rennes 2, the CIREFE offers French language lessons to foreign students.

The CUEFEE is a department affiliated to the University of Tours.

The Institut de Touraine was founded in 1912. It now has a team of 20 permanent teachers and 10 members of admin staff. The school is placed under the educational supervision of the University of Tours.
