Created in 1977, the International Language and Civilisation Centre (CILEC) is the school dedicated to the teaching of French as a Foreign Language (FLE) at the Jean Monnet University.
The CILEC welcomes 500 students each year from more than 30 different countries.
Saint-Etienne, a city renowned for its welcoming culture, is also the cheapest city in France. Taking advantage of its proximity to Lyon (45 minutes by train), Saint-Etienne is an ideal entry point to visit the Alps, the French Riviera or Paris.
At the CILEC, a team will listen to you to facilitate your integration and accompany you during your learning of the French language and civilization.
