Sciences Po, Campus de Paris

The study of French as a Foreign Language (FLE) on the Paris campus is organised according to the language level of the students. Active participation is very much encouraged in class, and emphasis is also placed on intercultural dimensions.

As 47% of the student body are international students, Sciences Po attaches great importance to the teaching of French as a Foreign Language, as it fosters both students' success in other disciplines and their inclusion in the community. FLE courses are designed for students following the core curriculum, those doing a dual degree as well as exchange students studying at Sciences Po.

The Summer School offers intensive FLE courses to students of all horizons. Several hundred people from all over the world join the Sciences Po community during the months of June and July.

Programmes suited to the language level of the students

The FLE courses are organised according to the CEFRL (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), with courses available for levels A1 to C2.

The aim of these courses is to enable students to acquire and consolidate their language skills and cultural competence.
