Contact the international relations department at your host establishment for advice on finding accommodation. Most universities and colleges have their own halls of residence or partnerships with student residences close to their teaching premises.
With regards to securing a grant, there are various options available either at national level (from your government or indeed from the French government) or from multilateral organisations or private foundations.
